NAME
securetty - file(1,n) which lists ttys from which root can log in(1,8)
DESCRIPTION
The file(1,n) /etc/securetty is used by (some versions of) login(1,3,5)(1). The
file(1,n) contains the device names of tty(1,4) lines (one per line, without
leading /dev/) on which root is allowed to login. See login.defs(5) if(3,n)
you use the shadow(3,5) suite.
