NAME
basename(1,3,3 File::Basename) - strip directory and suffix from filenames
SYNOPSIS
basename(1,3,3 File::Basename) NAME [SUFFIX]
basename(1,3,3 File::Basename) OPTION
DESCRIPTION
Print NAME with any leading directory components removed. If speci-
fied, also remove a trailing SUFFIX.
--help display this help and exit(3,n,1 builtins)
--version
output version(1,3,5) information and exit(3,n,1 builtins)
